MS-2576 - Implementing and Admin Internet Information Services 6.0

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to implement and administer IIS 6.0. The course focuses on the IIS 6.0 architectural features that improve reliability, security, manageability and performance. The course also provides knowledge and skills to successfully install, configure, implement security, monitor, and manage Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 servers and Web sites.

This course requires that students have at least two years' experience in administering Microsoft Windows-based servers in addition to knowledge and experience is equivalent to skills measured by exams 70-290 and 70-291. Students also need the skills to do the following: create user and group accounts; assign file system permissions to resources; configure network interface parameters; create and configure Domain Name System (DNS) entries; monitor server performance; and monitor network traffic.
