Just returned from the 2012 Microsoft World Wide Partner Conference in Toronto, Canada. What a beautiful city and venue for the 16,004 attendees!
The upcoming year is expected to be epic in product announcements for Microsoft…from the “applification” for our development students, to early adopters of System Center 2012, Windows 8 and Server 2012 IT pros!
Microsoft Learning has made quality a top driver for class content and has increased their internal NSAT scores from 152 to 175. In addition, they have made certification easier to map for our students – course names and numbers directly correllate to exam numbers (YAY!)!
While we are talking certification…the new MCSA, MCSD and MCSE certifications will now be more relevant as the exams will include case studies and scenarios rather than multiple choice. They will also require MCSD and MCSE individuals to renew their certifications every 2 or 3 years (depending upon the certification) to validate their skillsets.
I’m looking forward to sharing the information that I gained during the 4 days that I spent with Microsoft and helping our students move forward with their IT education and certification goals!
